“A Writer’s Playground”–A place to find wordplay, writing, and monthly calendar activities for kids and those young at heart.”

“Just Jot It January #17” by Linda Martin Andersen

I accepted a challenge for January: Just jot a note and submit.  I can’t participate every remaining day this month, but I will join in when I can.

I decided to create a theme to write about:

Today, I celebrate odd experiences (oddities) and how I react to them.

Oddity is defined here:  http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/oddity

This is what I found in my washer recently.

How did I react?  I laughed out loud!  Wouldn’t you?

Where have you found oddities?  In the refrigerator, back of a sock drawer, etc.  Once I unloaded the dishwasher and found a tea bag.  It was still intact.  I didn’t reuse it.  😉

Visit http://lindaghill.com/2015/12/31/just-jot-it-january-2016-rules/ for details about Just Jot It January and to comment on other participants’ posts.

Thank you for visiting “A Writer’s Playground.”  Come again soon and bring a friend. Please leave a comment.  I’d love to hear what you’re celebrating today.  Remember that children 13 and under need an adult to comment for them.  For more fun, sign up to follow my blog.  Thank you!

Dear Linda, sharing odd things is fun. I don’t have any examples. I liked when you found a tea bag in the dishwasher. Funny!

As a dentist’s wife I’ve found plastic gloves in
The washing machine. And masks that he wore mowing the lawn!

  3. Hee hee, oddities? Very odd item in your washing machine, Linda. You make me smile. 🙂
