Trying new things is fun.  In January, I accepted a blog challenge to jot something down each day and post it.  This was organized by Linda G. Hill.

I don’t know how people create blog posts every day of the year, but evidently a good many do.  The first one I remember meeting was Joy Acey at “Poetry for Kids Joy”who posts an original poem a day.  See here:

Thanks to reading blog posts I had never visited before,  I recently added additional blog followers.  I wanted to show my appreciation to them,  to my loyal followers for several years, and all those inbetween.  This is for you:

“Just Jot It January #27–Celebrating Life in Progress” by Linda Martin Andersen

I accepted a challenge for January: Just jot a note and submit.  I can’t participate every day this month, but I will join in when I can.

I decided to create a theme to write about:  I chose “celebrate.”

Today, I celebrate life in progress.”

Fellow writers and bloggers, I get asked these questions.  Do you?

What are you writing these days?  How’s your writing coming?

At this time, I’m revising some manuscripts, which is something writers are most always doing.  To spice things up a bit, I decided to try something new.  As a participant in Just Jot It January,  I am meeting new bloggers and fortunately I’ve added some new followers.  Both are exciting to me.  Other bloggers will understand.  Today, I’d like to credit  Linda G. Hill for the term “life in progress.”  It’s her blog title.  She is also the one who organized Just Jot It January.  So, I want to thank her for all her hard work to make this a reality.  It is a great experience and I’m glad I joined in.  I hope you’ll check it out too.

Visit http://lindaghill.com/2016/01/27/just-jot-it-january-27th-mendaciloquent/ to read and comment on other participants’ posts.

Writing Prompts:

  1. What are some common greetings that ask about life in progress?  For example, “What’s up?” Name as many as you can and write a scene where two people meet and ask about each other.
  2. What other phrases can you think of that include the word “life?”  For example, “the beginning of life.”  Write about one of these.
  3. How can you bring “life” to your day?

Thank you for visiting “A Writer’s Playground.”  Come again soon and bring a friend. Please leave a comment.  I’d love to hear what you’re celebrating today.  Remember that children 13 and under need an adult to comment for them.  For more fun, sign up to follow my blog.  Thank you!
